Christmas 2006

Happy Holidays!

It's Bud's first Christmas! We did a bit of traveling for the holidays this year. We stopped by Mawmaw's to open gifts and visit with her and Zac's aunts. We headed back to Mississippi and visited my grandparents for more food and gifts, then went back to my parents' to open our own gifts with Meredith and Carlton and their families. Busy, busy bees. I'm so exhausted! Jac had a nice Christmas, even though he won't remember it.

Jac 7 months, Molly turns 1

Jac is seven months old! He loves all the baby food so far, not disliking anything. Banana-flavored puffs are a favorite snack. He was sick last week and has been so fussy lately. He's also trying to walk so he's pulling himself up on everything and gets so mad when he falls down. He's been more vocal, mostly saying "BABABABABABABA!" He can sort of feed himself with his little fingers.

We went with my parents to Meredith's house for Molly's first birthday. I can't believe that girl is already a year old. She's already walking and making baby jabber. It won't be long until Jac follows suit.

Piercing

Zac's friend, Katie, has been wanting to meet Jac and me, so we met up with her in Louisiana. I don't exactly have many friends, aside from Jena, so Zac's been trying to introduce me to a few of his own female friends from high school. I like Katie. She's got a lot of ear-piercings and a few tattoos and she's really nice. She came with us to get my lip pierced, which was fun. We've been in the car all day and Bud is nowhere near tired.

Thanksgiving 2006

Happy Thanksgiving!

Zac and I visited some of his family for a bit this week. Marie kept Jac so we could go see a few friends. Sean let Jena ride with him on his motorcycle around the block a few times. The picture was too dark, otherwise I'd post it, but it was funny. We are stuffed full of Maria's cooking and thankful for our healthy little Bud and our friends.

Jac 6 months

Mr. Buddy-bear is getting so big. He loves Zoey, though she is reluctant to return the feelings. He pinches her ears and sometimes holds on to her tail. He's interested in everything, mostly books and Thomas the Train. He scoots super fast when he sees something he wants.

Halloween 2006

Happy Halloween from us!

No Trick-or-Treating this year as Bud's too little, but we passed out candy and watched a few Halloween movies. Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas are definite favorites.

Jac 5 months

Jac is five months! He's so interested in everything. He loves his ball and red dog. He's sitting up so good, but still falls over if he tries to reach for something. Right now, he's got mild separation anxiety, which is normal. I don't mind.

A&Z Wedding 10/13/06

The month of October has been crazy. Jena has been here for a few days and I've been getting ready for the wedding. We went to the Mississippi State Fair a few nights ago and rode all the fast, puke-inducing rides. I didn't take any pictures, but next year I will.

Earlier this month, Zac and I did some ring-shopping and picked out a matching set of white-gold bands. We found a bakery down the street and ordered a three-tiered red velvet wedding cake and I baked the chocolate heart-shaped groom's cake. Meredith picked out autumn-colored marigolds and arranged my bouquet. Mom took me shopping and I found a $17 white prom dress and a cheap-but-cute pair of white sandals. Aunt Janie took pictures for our scrapbook. Dad walked me down the aisle to Danny Elfman's "Ice Dance". Emily and Jena stood by me, while Sean and Kyle stood by Zac. Matt officiated our marriage. I said my vows first, then Zac followed with, "I, Amanda...". It was funny. We drank orange punch, fed each other cake, and indulged in fruit, vegetables, and sandwiches that Meredith and Mom provided. I'm married to my other half and best friend and am so completely blessed.
