Vaxxed

My big two have been asking when they can get vaccinated and I finally managed to get them their first dose appointments! Both were relatively nervous, but so brave and we're just waiting for next month to get the second dose. I'm so proud of them.

Eye appointment

I scheduled Elias to get his eyes checked since he's almost 6 and didn't get to go last year. This boy has 20/20 vision. No glasses needed! He was so funny, asking questions about the machine, talking about his tooth, and reading most of the signs. They (I) had to dilate his eyes, which was fun, but he was cooperative. We looked at a kitten in the petshop next door, but mainly went in to find Toby a shirt. No luck, so we went to PetsMart to look at fish and cats, then picked out a treat for being so good.

That's a wrap!

My play is complete! These past two weeks have been so much fun. Zac, Mom, Leah, and Tommie came to see me Friday, then Mike and Ashley came Sunday while Zac babysat their boys. I'm glad to be done, but I'm gonna miss them. Hopefully I'll have more opportunities in the future. Last week, I brought Jac and Leah to the dress rehearsal so they could see the play without being around other people. Then, I brought Elias and that boy talked the whole time. We'd be in the middle of a scene and he'd shout out, "Hey mom, is that a real banana? Can I have it? I'm hungry. I also love you".

Today I went out to run some errands and buy the boys a pool. It's so hot today and why not. I picked them up some water toys and new swim suits. I didn't realize Cole still had a 12month swim suit in his drawer and he's pushing a size 3T. Yikes. On a plus side with this heat wave, I'm seeing fall stuff in stores now! So excited.

Father's Day 2021

Happy Father's Day to this guy, my amazing man who takes such good care of us.

Park

I did something "normal" today. The boys were up early, it was cool outside, so I popped them both in the stroller and we took a walk to the park. I even let them play on the playground for a while. They had so much fun. I have so much guilt that Cole isn't able to experience things that the other three have. No playgrounds, no walks through the mall, etc. I feel like he's missing out on basic activities because of this fucking virus. But, one day at a time. We're getting closer to pediatric vaccines and I'm hoping one is available for the boys soon.

Tooth Fairy

Elias lost another tooth! He's so brave. I think he's looking forward to losing them all. He's told everyone he's come in contact with about his teeth falling out.

May May Run Away

Our dummo May was let out this morning, possibly by Cole. He came into our room, so we woke up and usually the gate to the kitchen is closed. Sometimes it's left open and he's figured out how to unlock the patio door to let Toby outside. So I'm guessing that's what he did and left the door open. Usually, May comes back inside, but this time she didn't. She wasn't in the yard, I looked all around the exterior of the house and even found a snake that was lurking behind our garden box that wanted to speak with me about our lord and savior Jesus Christ. I spent the next four hours walking the neighborhood, biking the neighborhood, then driving the neighborhood. Zac got home, so I went to play practice and tried not to think of worse-case scenarios. I made a Nextdoor post as well as a Facebook post to get her picture around and Zac had printed out some flyers this afternoon that he posted while I was rehearsing. When I got home around 9, I noticed a cat in the front yard that I'd never seen. So, I went inside and told Zac that a cat was acting weird and to go investigate and he came inside with an arm full of May May. I'm so glad she's home and safe. I was NOT ready to lose another pet.

Aged Makeup

I've never been very good at makeup. For my role, I'm supposed to be in my 60s, but as I'm not, I had to watch a few YouTube videos on aging makeup. So, some before/after, except I did apply normal makeup in the before.

Black Cherry

We went for a walk today and I noticed the black cherry tree had bloomed. Zac thought the cherries were supposed to be bigger, like red cherries, so he was surprised I started trying to collect a few while they were still tiny. I gathered enough to put in a container and we brought them home. None of the fam had tasted them before, but it was a fun treat. I grew up with a black cherry tree in my back yard, so Emily and I would collect them among the honeysuckle, huckleberries, blackberries, and strawberries around the yard.

Tattoos & Birds

I finally made a session with Jessie and got four new pieces. I love them so much! I think this is how I'll get caught up to my age... just get a few small ones at a time. Her saturation is incredible. We only made a day trip, so Zac dropped me off and took the kids to City Park to see the birds. We even brought Toby with us.
