Tattoo # 6 and touch-ups

I went to see Jessie and get my tattoo-fix. She covered my original Taurus with a better one and colored the hearts behind my ear with primary colors. My newest tattoo is an ambigram on my wrist of J and L: J for Jac, L for Leah.

Birthday Party and Other Fun Things

The past few days have been busy. We had the kids' birthday party on Saturday and everyone had fun. I made a pizza-cake (recipe found HERE), thanks to some ideas on Pinterest. Since the jump-around wasn't so fun last year for Orrin, we bought a Slip-N-Slide, which was a huge success.

Jac and I spent some quality time together on Sunday. He's been feeling a little neglected since Leah has been acting so clingy. I brought him with me, just us, to visit Fallyn at the coffee shop. I bought him a cookie and a smoothie and we went to B&BW to smell candles and buy him some chapstick. Fallyn and Kallan came over Sunday night for dinner and so Kallan could get her goody bag from the birthday.

Monday, Jessie and Joey invited us to go to Cafe Du Monde for beignets and to the park so the kids could play.

Nick invited us to his house for games. I met his girlfriend, Vanessa, as well as talked with some people I used to be friends with years ago, like Stan and Rachel. Kyle and Claire also came and Claire brought her little girl named Maddie, who Leah just loved. We played a game called Quelf, which encourages humiliation of all players. We didn't get back to Sean's until after midnight.

I was talking to Rachel about our kids and found that her son, Dylan, takes Singulair for his allergies like Jac and that one of its side-effects are "aggitation, including aggressive behavior or hostility" which might explain why Jac is having trouble at school. I'm going to talk to his pediatrician about changing the prescription because I miss my sweet boy.

Leah is Three!

Happy Birthday, Leah!

We made it to Louisiana and the kids are driving me crazy! They're about to be in the bed so I can start reading The Help. Also, Garbage's Blood for Poppies album is amazing.

Art

I painted something for Katie. It's a memorial for her babies she miscarried last year. Each balloon represents a baby. I'm going to try to mail it to her this weekend as soon as I find a box to put it in.

Jac Graduates Kindergarten

Jac has officially graduated from Kindergarten! I'm so proud of my little man. I can't believe the school year has passed already.

Jac is Six!

Jac is six today!

Zac and I brought Leah to Jac's school to eat lunch with him for his birthday. His face lit up when he saw us! We brought cupcakes for his class and the other kids stood around him to sing a birthday song. He picked six friends to be his candles. We handed out the cupcakes and watched a slideshow of his field day, then we left when he went to recess. He came home with a green dot today!

Zombie Mode

Jac was up at 4am this morning needing a quick breathing treatment, then Leah woke up at 6:30. I was about to go to bed, but Emily wanted to hang out, so I basically have not slept much. I'm so tired.

Birthday Prep

I managed to get to the dentist for a cleaning. I don't think I've had a cleaning in about... three years? I have to go back to get one of my fillings filed down since it has a sharp edge and has the potential to break. I have one cavity underneath a previous filling and another cavity on one of my molars. Other than that, everything is peachy. I can't stop licking my teeth! They're just so clean.

I unloaded a bunch of boxes at work, so my back is killing me. I've also come to hate when people refer to a fragrance as a flavor. It's just bizarre to me. You don't taste it!

I baked so much cake Thursday night! I made red velvet cupcakes, almond cupcakes, plus two miniature four-layered cakes (one of each flavor) for the kids.

Sean is staying with us this weekend. He's going to make Chicken Marsala tomorrow and then we're going to Aidan's first birthday party.
