Christmas 2007

It's Christmas week!

Zac and I have been in Slidell since last Saturday. We got lucky and were able to spend a good while here to see everyone. It's been awesome. Marie kept Jac for a while so we could go see Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street. It was so good! We brought Jac to look at Christmas lights in Olde Town, but couldn't stay long since he started shivering. Poor baby ended up getting a cold. He's feeling better now. We opened gifts at Mawmaw's on Christmas Eve. Jac absolutely loves his dinosaurs and books. OH! I got my septum pierced. It hurt a bit, but not too bad. Just sore now.

Jena introduced us to her boyfriend, Quinn. We met up at Outback and they gave Jac a cute little plush barn with some little rattling animals in it. Quinn seems sweet and funny and Jena is happy. We also squeezed in a visit with Kyle. Jac had a blast chasing his cat, Cash, back and forth in the hallway.

Kid Pics

Well, it has been a day. Zac and I had to meet Karen and Meredith and Rachel at Walmart to get a group picture taken of all the kids. It took forever. My boy is so freaking cute, though. He was well-behaved as far as sitting still goes. I'm so proud of him. I hope I'm not required to participate in this annually. Getting six kids to sit still and look in the same direction without crying is impossible.

Back row: Kylie, Abbi, and Payton. Front row: Molly, Wes, and Jac.

Early Christmas 2007

We celebrated Christmas early since Zac and I will be out of town, plus most of the family came by. It was fun seeing all the nieces and nephews.

Francesca's Birthday

We went to Francesca's 2nd birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese tonight. Jac had fun playing with the arcade games and playing on the rides. He won about 300 tickets, so he picked out a handful of small dinosaurs. He's so cautious about going in the slide tunnels, though. That little dude could eat a whole pizza if I let him. Such a fun time.

Thanksgiving 2007

Zac and I came to Slidell yesterday for Thanksgiving. Mawmaw and Zac's aunts provided all the food, Jac played with his cousins, it was nice.

Things I'm thankful for:
Jac. My sweet baby boy. He's healthy, handsome, and happy.
My awesome husband. He's been keeping me from going crazy while we are living with my parents.
Our Blazer, which is getting older, but still gets us from A to B without any trouble.
Zoey, for all the puppy snuggles.

Short post

We hung out with Mawmaw for her birthday. She had fun playing with Jac and got him knocked out. We spent the night at Sean's where we played a lot of Guitar Hero.

Halloween 2007

Happy Halloween!

I've got a cold, but we took our Mr. Skellybones Trick-or-Treating anyway. He let me paint his face, sort of. Zac and I wore our matching Jack and Sally shirts (probably our new tradition since it's easy). Jac had fun. He brought home a ton of candy.

One Year Anniversary

Today is our first wedding anniversary! We went to Kroger and picked out the most autumn-looking cookie cake. I can't believe it's been a whole year. It feels like no time has passed, though our little toddler will prove otherwise. It's been an amazing year in this marriage so far. He's my best friend, my soulmate. Here's to 99 more, Love.

Fairgrounds and freedom

My classes have been keeping me busy and being a mom has been keeping me busy. I just don't have time to be on the computer anymore, or for more than a few minutes. I mean, I don't mind, but I like taking Life Notes, just in case.

I quit Hollywood Video. A new manager was hired and he was absolutely terrible at his job. He would leave the building and not answer his phone, he was disrespectful to the employees, and didn't know how to handle any problems the customers had. He hired a bunch of new people and started promoting them over me. One older employee, who had no idea what she was doing, kept bossing me around with the attitude of I-can-do-what-I-want-but-they-won't-fire-me-because-I'm-a-minority-and-a-lesbian. I requested tonight off and it was approved last week, but was put on the schedule anyway with a shrug and "oh well" so I ditched work and went to the Mississippi State Fair. At least I didn't set the building on fire... right? The fair was fun, though. And Zac took me to Outback for dinner.
