ER
I had to bring Elias to the ER this evening because he started running a fever of 103°. He was able to be seen pretty quickly, thankfully. They ran tests for flu, Covid and strep, but all were negative. My poor kiddo had a Covid nasal swab and omg. He jumped, but didn't cry. After about an hour, they said it's a sinus infection most likely from allergies. He was so brave and patient. I'm hoping he's better tomorrow. All we can do is keep the fever low and keep him hydrated.

Cole is 3!
Cole is THREE! My little caboose is no longer a toddler. I baked him a cake and decorated it to be Jack, his favorite character. At three, he talks all the time. ALL THE TIME. And his imagination is just wild. He talks to his hands and feet, everything comes to life and the floor is always lava. He's super fun, super passionate, and gets frustrated when he can't articulate what he wants, but he gives the sweetest hugs, is quick to apologize, and loves his siblings so much.

Elias Vax
First dose down for Elias! I'm so super proud of my Bunbun. He was so brave. One dose to go, one more kid to go.

Birthday
Zac took me to Ohashii for my birthday. They had the most amazing vegetarian kiwi salsa sushi ever. Normally, it's mango but they were out. But yall, the kiwi. I didn't think I'd like it but now it's my favorite. We also picked up some macarons and pastries. One was a cheesecake and another a little cake. So good. We went to get some boba tea, but it made me feel sick from being too sweet, so I got some ice cream from Baskin Robbins. All in all, best birthday so far.

Halloween 2021
Happy Best-Holiday! It's spooky time. I made mucus-covered snails for breakfast and spent most of the day helping Zac bake/cook the feast. I'm highly pleased with how the graveyard pudding turned out and I even made Zombie Juice. We carved pumpkins, took the kids trick or treating, and had a lovely walk around the neighborhood. It felt so normal. The kids collected so much candy and the weather was chilly and perfect. Ugh, it was fantastic.

Pumpkins
Since this virus is doing its thing, we took the kids to the local farmer's market to pick out some pumpkins... and maybe some honey. They loved it, even though it wasn't as "fun" as what they've done in the past. I wish more people would get vaccinated so things can get back to some sort of normal. I want to make memories like the next person, but it's not fair to put my kids at risk because others are selfish twats. We got some super cute pics of them in the back yard and I really love how they turned out. I'm going to have to update my 3-year-old frames with one of Cole. I'm going to have to buy another collage for 4-year-old next. My my my.

15 Year Anniversary
We've been married a whopping 15 years. Whuuuuut. It's sometimes hard to believe but also not. Jac babysat the boys (with Leah's help) and Zac brought us to McAlister's because I've been craving carrot cake something atrocious and happily indulged in the gluten. We bought some ice cream from Baskin Robbins, then went to Target to walk around and pick the kids out some treats. We started watching Squid Game and I really want to learn Korean. It's such a good show so far. Kinda Hunger Games? I dig it.

Dunn's Falls
Zac and I were bored, so I had suggested us going to Louisiana for the day to drive around my childhood neighborhood. After some pros and cons, we decided to visit Meridian instead to see the Dunn's Falls waterfall. It's closer, being about an hour away, instead of three. So, we went. It was hot, but the kids had a fun time.

Happy October!
Last night, the kids wanted to bake spooky cookies for the Wicked Witch (with apple juice since we didn't have apple cider), so we had fun making a mess in the kitchen. This morning, they opened their spooky socks and had some spooky hot cocoa and we watched Hocus Pocus. I fucking love this time of year and cannot wait until the leaves turn orange.
