Friend stuff.

My parents came and picked up Jac yesterday. They were able to see the guesthouse and we went to lunch. Mom bought Jac some clothes at the mall before we kissed him goodbye. `He's spending a few days with them, which is our first few days away from him. It's weird and I miss him, but I was able to sleep late today which is kinda nice. He's having a blast already. Dad's been sending me pictures to show that he's not missing us as much as I'd hoped.

My friend Christina is in town from Alaska so we met up at Olive Garden for lunch. I haven't seen her for about 10 years. We met at church when we were kids. Her birthday is the day before mine.

We went to the mall to do some shopping and I found a super cool Cars tent for Jac, so I put that together this afternoon. He'll be so excited to see it tomorrow when we pick him up.

Olga's Baby Shower

Katie invited me to Olga's baby shower for this afternoon, so Zac went to have a boy's day with Jac. I never met Olga before, but I've talked to her a little bit online. She and Katie are really good friends and both went to school with Zac.

The shower was sweet, though I think I was awkward the whole time. Olga was really nice. She wants to hang out again sometime.

Happy 2nd Birthday to my Jac!

Mother's Day/Jac's birthday party was fun. Aunt Janie brought a Spongebob piñata and Pawpaw boiled some crawfish. Jac and Francesca played with some of the crawfish escapees before they were executed...

He got some much-needed clothes and a pair of shoes and a robot dinosaur. I think he's scared of the dinosaur, though. It sounds like Godzilla and its eyes turn bright red. It might be the devil.

Louisiana

We finally finished moving all our stuff and I am exhausted. But we're officially back in Louisiana! I've missed it.

Moving

We are moving! We left Jac with Marie overnight so we could finish getting our things moved to the guesthouse. I'm so excited. It'll be nice to be by our friends again. Sean got Zac a job with him as a valet in Covington, so everything worked out.

Black hair, don't care

I dyed my hair black. It's silly, but I always wanted to have black hair at least once in my life. It reminded me of when I was 14 and I dyed my hair red for the first time (it was Halloween and I wanted to be Shirley Manson). Of course, my hair invited Mom to keep peeking in the bathroom asking the most ridiculous questions...

"How will you get hired with hair like that?"
"What will the pastor say?"
"You look like you worship the devil now."

I brought my dudes to the park this morning. Mr. Blue Eyes had a fun day without throwing any tantrums (yay) and he went down the tunnel slide all by himself. He's getting so big.

I heard a joke earlier:
