Jac 11 months

My baby boy is 11 months old! He's such a happy little guy. He loves Zoey and playing with one of Dad's harmonicas. He likes Thomas the Train and Wonder Pets and bath time. He hums sometimes and gets excited about food. He's so sweet and funny.

New Job

I've got a part-time job Hollywood Video. So far, I really like it. The interview was simple and I was told I was one of the very few who passed all the questions. I like my manager, too. He's being flexible with my hours since I've got a baby.

I haven't written in a while because when I sit to type, I have nothing but negativity to write about. I don't want this blog to be like my old journal. There's just so much drama and fighting going on between my parents and me. I'm frustrated all the time and so stressed out. When something good happens that's worth writing about, I'll write about it. Like Bud trying to take a few steps on his own and looking so adorable. I need more good days and they are few and far between lately...

Walky no talky

Baby Jac is trying to walk! I brought him outside to play on the swing for a little while and he started whining to get down. I got him out and walked around with him a bit, but he wanted to get on the patio chair (by himself), then wanted back down. He's a wobbly little bud, so he was getting dirty in the leaves on the ground. I held his hand and walked with him around the yard for a little while and he did so good! He held my hand super tight and was so determined to take steps.

Jac 10 months

Jac is 10 months old already! He's getting into everything, but still not walking yet. He wants to, but he knows he can scoot on his belly faster.

Puke and stuff.

I've been sick. I never get sick. Zac came home Friday feeling sick, then threw up. I slept in Jac's room and put him in the bed with me. I woke up nauseated and tried to get to the bathroom to puke while Jac was asleep. Of course, Jac rolled off the bed while I was in the bathroom and started screaming. Between the waves of nausea, I managed to get him and put him in my parents' bed. Now, Dad is sick and I'm sure Mom will be next.

It's been a rough couple of days, but I hope it's almost over.

Poop & a Laptop

Zac and I went to Best Buy because I'm in serious need of a laptop. Want to hear something gross? Probably not, but here you go:

Okay. I was pushing the shopping cart around with Jac in it, letting him look at the TV screens and such. Suddenly, I smelled something. I picked him up to check his diaper and there was poo all the way up the middle of his back, which started running down his legs. It was all over the seat of the cart *gag gag gag*. OMG. It was horrible! I had to hurry to the women's bathroom, strip him down naked, and bathe him in the sink, then clean the cart with soapy paper towels. It was so horrible.

I did get a laptop, though. It's so much more convenient to sit in my bed and type than to be in the most uncomfortable chair ever. I also like the idea of being able to take it with me out of town, especially as a "blogger".

Trip to Louisiana

I haven't had much to type about for a while, sorry.

Meredith gave birth to Baby Wes yesterday. I've got a second nephew after so many nieces! His hair is blonde and crazy-spiky.

Jac is a little over nine months old. He's starting to feed himself with a spoon (it's so messy!) and loves being outside. He says a few things, like "ba-ba" and "go". Everything is "go". Spoons, Zoey, trees, etc. All are "go".

Zac and I met up with Katie at T.G.I. Friday's in Hattiesburg on our way to Sean's. Tonight we went with Sean to see The Number 23. We were late, but since we were the only ones in the theater, they restarted it for us. Unfortunately, the advertisement timer didn't restart, so ads were popping up towards the end. It was weird to see Jim Carrey in a dramatic role, but the movie was pretty good.

We're going back to Mississippi tomorrow. I wish we could stay in Louisiana longer, but such is life. These trips are too short. I'm just happy Bud is such a good traveler. He never makes a peep the whole way.

Jac 9 months

I'm a few days late, but Jac is 9 months old! My baby boy is FEEDING HIMSELF. Not only that... I got a first word. Or words? "Uh oh". Queue the weeping. It's passing too fast!

Jac on Camera

Zac bought us a cheap, digital camera, so we've been testing it out. So far indoors, it sucks. The flash is too bright, but if we don't use it, the pictures turn out very dark. However, these were the only good results. Outside, I have no complaints.

Jac 8 months

Jac is 8 months old! He's pulling himself up and walking around the coffee table. He loves most food and has the sweetest laugh. He sleeps pretty well and loves snuggles. He loves playing with cars and will roll them super fast off the sides of surfaces to watch them crash.

New Year's 2007

New Year's Day was just another day this year. We didn't do sparklers or anything since Jac is so little, but Zac did kiss me at midnight. Also, Zac got a job as a delivery driver for Pizza Hut over the weekend. He used to work at Pizza Hut when we met. So far, he likes it as he can drive around and make tips, so he's not stuck cooking all day. It's great for us right now. The tips will help.

Christmas 2006

Happy Holidays!

It's Bud's first Christmas! We did a bit of traveling for the holidays this year. We stopped by Mawmaw's to open gifts and visit with her and Zac's aunts. We headed back to Mississippi and visited my grandparents for more food and gifts, then went back to my parents' to open our own gifts with Meredith and Carlton and their families. Busy, busy bees. I'm so exhausted! Jac had a nice Christmas, even though he won't remember it.

Jac 7 months, Molly turns 1

Jac is seven months old! He loves all the baby food so far, not disliking anything. Banana-flavored puffs are a favorite snack. He was sick last week and has been so fussy lately. He's also trying to walk so he's pulling himself up on everything and gets so mad when he falls down. He's been more vocal, mostly saying "BABABABABABABA!" He can sort of feed himself with his little fingers.

We went with my parents to Meredith's house for Molly's first birthday. I can't believe that girl is already a year old. She's already walking and making baby jabber. It won't be long until Jac follows suit.
