Chuck E Cheese

I've been packing. Seems like that's all that I ever do as of lately. I'm kind of sad, though. This place was our first place... We were the first tenants, I brought a new baby here. It's just sad. We took the babes to Chuck E. Cheese yesterday to bring the mood up. Other than that, we've just been packing.

Random

Look at this view. How awesome to wake up and see a rainbow outside my window?

I've been painting a bit. My skills are lacking since it's been so long, but it's a start. I painted the yellow submarine for Katei and a ladybug for Leah.

The kids are getting bigger. Leah's got six teeth! Time is passing too fast. But look how sweet they are? It melts me.

Tattoo # 3

I got a new tattoo. Three hearts behind my right ear; one for Zac, one for Jac, and one for Leah. I like the simplicity... maybe one day I'll get them colored in.

Riverwalk

Emily and Alex are visiting. We spent all day at the Riverwalk in New Orleans, mostly walking around. We had sushi and caramel apples. I found a really cute plush turtle for Jac.

After the fun in the city, we picked up the kiddos from Marie's, played with her new puppy for a little while, then bought some groceries at Walmart. I'm tired!

Something funny: I got my WOW account back! All of my gear and gold is missing though, so that sucks. However, the jerk that stole my account made a new character on another server, complete with a ton of gold and items. Awesome! I'm rich like a hot noise. Rich, rich, rich. I've also purchased an authenticator to prevent further hackings from happening.

TMI Warning

I'm never taking birth control pills again. I've been sitting on an ice pack all day. It's the absolute worst thing in the world.

To add insult to injury, some jerk hacked into my WOW account, stole all my stuff, changed my password, and set up an authenticator so I'm unable to access MY OWN ACCOUNT. Dammit. I wrote Blizzard, so hopefully I can get things straightened out.

New Year's 2010

It's the new year!

I went with Mom to Meridian to visit Meredith and go to the mall (lot's of M's there). Meredith gave me some of Molly's outgrown baby clothes for Leah, which were much-needed. We went to Jordan's first birthday party this evening. There were so many inflatable jump-arounds. Jac had a ton of fun, but all Leah could do was watch.

2010 - A Year in review: 2009

I came across this online and thought it might be fun to do.

A Year in Review: 2009

1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Moved into an apartment.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I didn't really make any in 2009. Maybe eat better. That didn't help with being pregnant. I might make a few for 2011, though.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes! I had Leah, Kaleena had Amelia, Jenny had Grace, Cindy had Evelyn, and Jessie had Orrin.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.

5. What countries did you visit?
None yet.

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
A house would be nice. A better car. A dog?

7. What events from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory?
My bestie Jena got married to Quinn. Also, I had a daughter. And omg Amanda Fucking Palmer.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Moving into our first apartment.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not having the birth I wanted because I wasn't more assertive.

10. Did you suffer an illness or injury?
Kinda, but not really. I had my remaining wisdom teeth extracted, barfed up glucose, pushed a human out my body. My milk ducts clogged up.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
AFP tickets.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Jac became a big brother! And he's been very good at it.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Holiday drivers.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent.

15. What did you get really excited about?
Having a baby, getting our own place, the holidays.

16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
I'm not sure. There wasn't a lot of new music in my stuck-in-the-90s rotation.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
-Happier or sadder? Happier, for sure.
-Thinner or fatter Fatter, most def.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
More adventures with my little man.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Worrying over little things.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
My parents came to town before Christmas, we visited Mawmaw and Marie and Janie, then went to my parents' house for New Year's Eve to see Granny, Carlton, and the kids.

21. Did you fall in love in 2009?
I did with my baby girl.

22. What was your favorite TV program?
The Office.

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Oh yes.

24. What was the best book you read?
TBH, I didn't read much in 2009 aside from pregnancy-related things.

25. What was your favorite musical discovery?
Spinnerette.

26. What did you want and get?
A baby.

27. What did you want and not get?
I really don't know.

28. What was your favorite film of this year?
I liked Zombieland and Coraline.

29. What did you do on your birthday and how old were you?
I spent my birthday at Jena's rehearsal dinner and Sean baked me a cake. I turned 26.

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not having our money stolen by Steffane.

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
Anything comfortable for a huge belly and jeans.

32. What kept you sane?
Zac. Coffee.

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Shirley Manson will always be my favorite. Also, Amanda Palmer.

34. What political issue stirred you most?
I try to avoid politics.

35. Who do you miss?
Friends who live far away.

36. Who was the best new person you met?
All the babies. And I met Jenny in person for the first time!

37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009.
Never trust the living.

38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
I'm very much stuck in the 90s grunge era when it comes to music. I'm not sure I can apply much to the year.

New Year's Eve

We came to my parents' house yesterday. Mom wanted us to visit Granny so she could see Jac and Leah. The kids played with their cousins and opened gifts. I've got silly string in my hair.

I smoked my last cigarette tonight. I know it's going to be hard to avoid temptation, especially since I work around cigarettes... It's better for me. I don't want my kids to smoke. That's the only resolution I'm making.

Christmas Continued

Zac's Aunt Janie wanted to get some pictures of all the kiddos, so Zac and I drove to Mawmaw's. She gave the kids a few gifts and we visited.

Christmas 2009

Happy Holidays!

Last night, Zac took a few pictures of the kiddos. We stayed up late so everyone slept in this morning.

It's been a relaxing day. The kids opened their gifts and have been so good and content.

Christina invited us to go to her house to hang out, so we got dressed and drove to the city. We played Mario Kart on the Wii and ate dinner with them. Jac chased their little dogs around and Leah was laughing at them.

Pre-Christmas

My parents have been here since yesterday. They brought some early Christmas gifts for the kids.

Today, I must've gone to Walmart about a thousand times. Mom helped cook with me and Dad helped me make fudge. My pralines are not so good. It's been nice, though. I love these holidays.

Kiddos

These babies have been so sweet today. Nobody whining or fussing, just smiles all day. This is the best part of being Mama. I love these critters so much.

Double Date

Marie offered to babysit the kids, so Zac and I went on a double date with Sean and Genevieve. We went to Casa De Garcias and met Sean and Zac's friend, Robbie. Sean convinced us to see A Christmas Carol. I really liked the animation.
