College Life

So, it's the first day of college for Zac and me. We're trying to be good parents and go to college so we can make our lives better for our family. I am majoring in art. Tonight was my nemesis, College Algebra (my second time taking it), and so far, my brain feels like it's going to explode from the concentration process. Other than that, I feel confident that I can improve my mathematical skills enough to FINALLY pass this course with something higher than an F. Zac's offered to help me as he just gets math. We shall see. I hope I'm setting a good example for the munchkin.

Pneumonia

About three weeks ago, Jac developed "walking pneumonia". He was given an antibiotic and started feeling better. This morning, he relapsed into a more severe case of pneumonia and couldn't breathe without making awful sounds, so we're in the hospital. He's so miserable and there's not much I can do to make him feel better. I've been distracting him with Veggie Tales, but he's definitely not happy. Even his onesie says "if I'm not happy, nobody's happy". The worst part is this IV in his tiny little arm. I just want my baby to feel better.

Dance & Bath

Jac has been fascinated with Zac's DDR game. He squeals and runs all over the mat, stomping on the buttons. It's hilarious.

He had fun splashing in the tub after his workout.

Park

We brought little Dude to the park this afternoon. He had such a fun day! I pushed him on the swings and he went down the slide all by himself.

Surgery and Stuff

It's summer weather! I'm hot, but I'd rather be hot than cold. We've been taking walks through the neighborhood and looking at all the flowers. I'm trying to teach Jac his colors and sounds animals make. Mom watched Molly over the weekend, so Jac had fun playing with her.

Bud had to have a small surgery today to fix a botched procedure. It was quick, so we were in and out within a few hours. He's going to be resting a bit today, but he's got too much energy to sit still for long.

Swimming

This weekend Abbi and Payton came over, so we filled up the kiddie pool Mom bought and Jac played with his cousins.

Tattooed

I got my first tattoo tonight. It's a Taurus symbol Zac doodled for Jac. They say tattoos can be addictive and now all I want are more tattoos.

One Year & The Zoo

My Jacaroni turned ONE yesterday! I can't believe it's already been a year since his birth. We went to Mawmaw's for his birthday party so we could visit Zac's side of the family while they were around for Mother's Day. Aunt Janie and Marie put most of the party together for us, which was really nice of them.

Today, Zac and I took our birthday boy to the zoo. I think he really liked it. He kept pointing at the animals and kept trying to run by himself. Oh yeah, did I mention that my baby is walking??? He stood up next to a chair in Zac's old bedroom and just nonchalantly walked over to me. It was the most awesome thing, seeing those first, confident baby steps.
