2022: A year in review: 2021

1. What did you do in 2021 that you'd never done before?
*A drive-thru Mardi Gras, ate Arabic food, cremated a pet, went gluten free, ripped up carpet by myself.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions and will you make more for next year?
*I've kept the weight off.

*Abbi had Ashton.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
*My RubyRoo.

5. What countries did you visit?
*None... still.

6. What would you like to have in 2022 that you lacked in 2021?
*More fun.

7. What events from 2021 will remain etched upon your memory?
*Sometimes removing toxic friendships is liberating.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
*Getting more comfortable in my own skin.

9. What was your biggest failure?
*Didn't travel as much, though it's not really a failure.

10. Did you suffer an illness or injury?
*Lots of teeth issues and an ear infection that wouldn't go away.

*My Spookylele.

*Elias learned to read!

*The friends who showed their toxicity.

*Christmas.

*Removing the carpet.

*I listened to a lot of true crime and Billie Eilish.

*Traveled. But not to see people, just to see landmarks.

*Going to the dentist.

*We went to Louisiana.

*Not with anything new.

*We didn't really watch a lot of TV, but did watch One Punch Man.

*I don't hate them. I'm just disappointed.

*Ehh, I listened to podcasts. I do want to read more next year.

*I hadn't really listened to much aside from 90s grunge and podcasts.

*A new ukulele.

*To move out of this shit country.

*We didn't go to the cinema.

*Zac took me out for sushi and macarons. Best vegan sushi I ever had.

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
*Not putting Ruby down. Not dealing with Covid all over the place.

*Think 90s grunge/casual.

*Biking, cooking, drawing.

*Amanda Palmer.

*The amount of people who refuse/d to wear masks... conspiracy theorists, anti-vaxxers, republicunts.

*Ruby. Those snorts... When it's quiet, it's too quiet.
