Friend Visits

Katei is moving to California. Zac and I hung out with her one more time before she leaves. I'm sure I'll see her again when she flies home to visit, but it's just sad that she's leaving. I'm happy for her, though... I mean, it's California.

Random Update

Katie finally had baby Spencer! We're going to try to go visit her soon so we can meet her little baby.

Things have been kind of routine around here. I forgot to continue blogging. Meanwhile, Jac has been fascinated with beading, so he made Zac a homemade Father's Day gift. Leah went from wobbling to running within a week!

Swimming

June is the month of summer! Zac and I filled up the pool Rachel gave to the kiddos as a birthday gift and we let them splash around a bit. They would've played longer if it weren't for those pesky mosquitoes. Zac even joined them.

Movies and Art

Mom convinced me to see Sex & the City 2 with her. Carrie Bradshaw has a Blackberry like mine. I've always been a Sex & the City fan. It was slightly awkward watching with Mom, as she's not a fan. We had some quality time, though, which was nice. Normally, we don't do mother-daughter things together.

I hung out with Emily tonight and she had me paint Harley Quinn one of her purses with fabric paint.

Leah is One!

Happy first birthday to my Leah! Can't believe my babies aren't babies anymore.

I baked two cakes, one for each kiddo. Zac bought a wagon for the kids as a birthday gift so we can pull them along on our walks. They love it so much!

Sick Kids

Both of my babes are suffering this week. Jac had a mild case of tonsillitis, which caused the beginning symptoms of an ear infection. We caught it before it grew worse, but he's still a miserable little man. Leah is teething, so she's running fever, her gums are swollen, and she has more progressed ear infection. It's been rough.

Tattoo Progress

I got my tattoo finished! It's absolutely beautiful. Jessie is amazing! I met her boyfriend, Joey, and their little boy, Orrin.

On our journey through Louisiana, We stopped to see Sean in Covington, then stopped in Hattiesburg to visit Katie and Garrett before heading back to Mom's.

Birthday pt. 1

I decided to have a double birthday for the kids... something I've never done before. Jac helped pick out the cake mix and I used my heart-shaped pan from my wedding. We even bought some balloons. I invited Carlton and Rachel and their kids. Nothing too fancy, but the kids had a good time.

Zac and I started watching Dexter. I saw part of an episode a while back when I went to one of Kacy's mommy-get-togethers. I love the show so far. It's such a cool concept.

Happy fourth birthday, Jacaroni!

Playground with the Kids

Zac and I took the kids to lunch at Fernando's, then hung out at the mall for a little while. I put in an application at Hot Topic, but I really don't want to drive that far. Zac bought me some Godiva chocolates for Mother's Day.

We brought the kids to the park this afternoon. Leah loves the swings and didn't want me to take her out of it. She cried when we had to leave.

Tattoo Coloring

This morning, we ate breakfast with Jena and Quinn and headed towards New Orleans. Christina wanted to play with the kiddos while I went to see Jessie and get my tattoo colored in. I'm so happy with the results!

We went back to Christina's to hang out for a little while before driving back to Mississippi.

Katie's Baby Shower

Zac and I drove to Hattiesburg for Katie's baby shower, then hung out with her at her apartment. I love how she decorates! She likes metal art and creates her own paintings.

After the shower, we went to Mawmaw's to visit and pick up some clothes from Aunt Janie. Tonight we're sleeping at Jena's. Quinn is going to pick up daiquiris on his way home.

Family and Flowers

Mom brought us to Granny's to visit. Granny cooked lunch and we visited for a little while. I never cared for Granny's cooking, but something about the way it smells brings back fond childhood memories of when I'd sleep at her house. Jac has started feeling better, so he ran around the yard gathering flowers.

We picked up a nebulizer shaped like a fire truck in order to help Jac with his breathing and have some care-instructions and information in case of an emergency. I hope he gets better. My baby has been miserable.

Breathing Trouble

Jac spent most of last night coughing his poor lungs up and barely slept. Mom said he was up at 2am so she let him sit with her in the den. Zac and I brought him to the doctor to find out what's wrong with him. He was hooked up to an oxygen machine and we waited about an hour for a diagnosis. They "thought" he was having an asthma attack, so we had to go to the ER. We were in the hospital a few hours with him while they gave him more oxygen, but nothing was helping him. His oxygen level was about 89 when normal levels are 95-100. I hate seeing my baby hooked up to machines. The IV was so difficult to watch. It's not official, but we were told to treat it like asthma. Nobody believes me that his tonsils are abnormally huge. He was finally allowed to eat after about 18 hours, so he requested a cheeseburger. I hope we can leave tomorrow.

This Week's Randoms

Baby Girl learned how to blow kisses and play peek-a-boo. It's the cutest thing ever! She'll pop her mouth and make a kiss sound or she'll cover her eyes with her tiny hands and say "Ah!". So precious!

So far, it's been decent living with my parents. They're giving us some space, so it's not terrible. We've been able to do fun things with the kids more often.

I taught myself basic knitting this week. I found some how-to videos on YouTube after Dad gave me some of Gommie's old knitting needles a while back and I've been working on a scarf. It's super tricky, but fun.

Carlton invited us over for a barbecue, so we let the kids play with their cousins while we hung out for a bit.

Tattoo #4

Zac, Kyle and I took a trip to Kenner to meet Jessie for the first time and get me a new tattoo. It's just an outline right now, but I love where it's going. Jessie's really cool. We have so much in common.

We're spending the night at Sean's. My chest is burning, hah! And I'm sad that I have to go back to Mississippi alone. Zac's going to finish working the rest of his schedule before joining me at Mom's.

Leah started walking! She's such a big girl.

Back to Mississippi

Zac and I have been discussing the idea of him going back to college to get a degree in order to get a better job. I talked to my parents about the idea and they offered to have us move in with them temporarily so he can go without the stress of having to work and go to class.

We met up with my parents in McComb so they could take our babies back to their house in Mississippi while Zac and I finished signing papers and packing the rest of our things into the Uhaul. It's the first I've had Leah away from me overnight, which is stressing me out a bit, but I know she'll be fine with her big bubba.

Jena and Quinn invited us over for our last night in Louisiana. I'm sad to be moving again, but it's a good step forward, especially for Zac. It's only two years.

Graphic Pic: Ear

Marie babysat the kids so Zac and I could go out to lunch. We were also going to purchase supplies for a pet rabbit. Amanda (the photographer) said we could have a rabbit from the photo shoot if we wanted or she could give it back to the shop. Jac attached himself to the smaller rabbit, so we figured "why not?".

After we bought rabbit supplies, we were loading up the car to head back to Marie's... and then my earring got stuck on the upper edge of the car door and ripped right out of my lobe. My ears are usually stretched to a zero-guage. I could easily insert a candy cane through the hole, which was goal for the holidays. The earring I was wearing happened to be a horseshoe-shape and the incident happened so fast, I didn't feel anything but a cold sensation. I groped my ear, unable to find my earring. I figured it just fell out. But my ear lobe felt strange. I saw blood on my fingers and decided I needed someone else's eyes to judge how bad it was. Both Zac and Kyle made a face of horror and my first reaction was that my lobe was destroyed. I had a minor panic attack and started sobbing, mostly freaking out for vanity's sake of my ear looking mutilated.

I picked my earring from the edge of the door where it latched itself and called Dayton to see if he could maybe offer a solution to fix it without us going to the ER. When we got to Dayton's house, he told us we better get to the ER because it was worse than what I described. We dropped Kyle off at his house, then Zac dropped me off at the hospital so he could pick up the kids and bring them to Quinn's parents' house.

Luckily, I was put in a room fairly quickly. I had to take out my other earrings on that side (which hurt so much, by the way) and wait to be seen. Zac arrived just in time to hold my hand while I was given a tetanus shot and stitches.

No rabbit for us, this time.

Easter Pictures

Jena set us up with a photographer friend for some Easter pictures. Jac loved the ducklings and baby rabbits so much. He was so photogenic! Leah, however, hated the ducklings. Jac really wants a pet rabbit.

Motorcycle Training, Kid Pics

Zac and I spent a few days in Mississippi with my parents so he could take a motorcycle class. He passed! Sean has been helping him get used to steering and such. It's so awesome. I'm proud of him! Jac has been asking to take a ride, but no way.

Kiddos

The kids have been so good today! They've been laughing and playing, neither have been the least bit fussy.

Friends Everywhere

Zac invited a few friends to stay with us overnight earlier this week. I guess you'd call it a boy's slumber party. Even Katie and Garrett stopped by, so I gave a way some of Jac's outgrown clothes.

Mom and Dad came to stay with us last night, so Zac and I went to see Alice In Wonderland with Jena and Quinn, Sean, and Katei. As much as I like Tim Burton's movies, he take on Alice was a little strange. I liked it, but it was strange. We sat all the way up front by the screen. Behind me, were a few of my Ra Shop co-workers: Chad and Chelsea, along with their significant others, Chelsea D and Spencer. I felt like I was in high school again.
