Fish and stuff

We took yet another trip to Louisiana. I'm not complaining. Despite not having air conditioning in our car, the weather was lovely. Keara's little girl, Luna, had a birthday party to celebrate her first birthday, so we went to celebrate it on Saturday. The kiddos had a fun time in the bouncy house and eating a ton of watermelon. Elias had his first bites of sandwich and a few fruits. He didn't fuss at all, thankfully.

Sunday, we went across the lake to the Disney store to check out the Tsum Tsum variety, then headed to the aquarium.

Last night, Sean's friend, Sasha, came by to hang out so we could meet her. She's really sweet and smart. We played a game called Crimes Against Humanity, which was a lot of fun and kept us up much later than we're used to (midnight, for real). I spent most of today washing laundry and packing everything back up. We drove home in a horrible thunderstorm. I don't think we're heading back out that way until late June or early July. I'm sick of all the driving back and forth. And I missed my dogs.

Leah is 7!

My big girl is seven! We celebrated part of her birthday last week since Mom was off and offered to take us to dinner wherever the birthday girl chose. She picked Backyard Burger.

This week, Zac had to work and she felt like her birthday was just a regular day. I told her it would be a bit boring, but as a surprise, I baked her a strawberry cake decorated with real strawberries. She wanted to go to church, which worked out as the group of kids were heading to the fire station to look at the fire trucks and learn about fire safety. They needed a parent to tag along, so Zac did. I stayed behind at the church to sit with the parents and Emily and hold Elias. We're planning a trip to the aquarium soon since Jac picked the science museum. Maybe that means Elias gets the zoo in the middle of summer?

Tuesday

It's Tuesday. I haven't unpacked our suitcases, but have been sitting outside with a cup of tea, watching my kiddos play and be crazy. It's a good day.

Louisiana & Tattoos

We took a trip to Louisiana over the weekend and stayed with Sean. He was off for the weekend, so I drove across the lake by myself for the first time ever while Zac stayed behind to hang out and keep the kiddos for me. The lake wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be. It was actually a bit relaxing. I liked the few hours alone without the kids, even though I missed them. It was nice to just talk to Jessie about things without being interrupted. I had an appointment to see Jessie for a bat tattoo. I also had my Taurus covered up with Maleficent. Jac isn't too disappointed, but I'm going to get constellations for all three kids eventually to make up for it.

Since Sean was off, he cooked chicken Parmesan and tiramisu for us. So good! It won't be long before Elias can have bites. He's got two more teeth peeking through.
