A year in review: 2016

1. What did you do in 2016 that you'd never done before?

Celebrated 10 years of marriage.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions and will you make more?

I think I did... yes?

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Krystal had Piper.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

No.

5. What countries did you visit?

Ha, none. Still.

6. What would you like to have in 2017 that you lacked in 2016?

A house.

7. What events from 2016 will remain etched upon your memory?

Dad fell on Christmas. That was scary.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

We had a lot of quality time with the kids.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Saying "yes" to a church solo and being unable to sing it because I completely lost my voice.

10. Did you suffer an illness or injury?

Oh yes. We all were barfing. It was awful.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

Got matching tattoos with Zac.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

Zac. He's been super supportive with everything going on with Dad.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

Ugh. Mom.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Trips to Louisiana.

15. What did you get really excited about?

I actually completed a 30-day blog challenge in September.

16. What song will always remind you of 2015?

Can't say. No idea.

-Happier or sadder? Happier, I think.

-Thinner or fatter? About the same.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

Tattoos.

Ate junk.

20. How did you spend Christmas?

Christmas started off great. We went to Louisiana and visited Zac's family and our friends. Christmas morning was nice. It just sucked that Dad fell.

21. Did you fall in love in 2016?

As in love as ever with the hubs.

22. What was your favorite TV program?

Chopped, Ink Master, Master Chef.

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

Dunno. Possibly.

The Girl on the Train.

25. What was your favorite musical discovery?

Lorde.

A cat.

27. What did you want and not get?

Amber. I hate that I didn't know she died.

28. What was your favorite film of this year?

Warcraft was good, but I'm biased.

29. What did you do on your birthday and how old were you?

I shopped at Hobby Lobby. Emily came over and hung out. The kids gave me handmade cards. I turned 33.

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

If all the best celebrities didn't die all at once.

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2016?

Jeggings.

32. What kept you sane?

Emily. Zac. Friends. Internet. Netflix.

Ms. Manson. Amanda Palmer. Milla Jovovich.

34. What political issue stirred you the most?

The presidential election... What a fucking joke.

I miss how Dad was before the fall.

Nobody new this year.

Life is unpredictable.
