I promised the kids we would take a field trip at LEAST once a month. So, I got lucky and saw City Park was having a Floats in the Oaks celebration in lieu of Mardi Gras, so I grabbed a ticket. It was basically a drive through to see all the floats for Bacchus. I so very much hate the way the world is right now because we love parades and the music and beads and all the people. Ugh. BUT, I'm super glad they figured out a way to make it work. Zac and I bought some Mardi Gras treats for the kiddos from Walmart so they could get festive and it was fun. We didn't get home until after 3am, but it was worth it.
